I've always been a bit puzzled by the whole neko thing in SL. Most people don't appear cat-like at all. They wear beautiful skins, great clothes and boots, usually with legwarmers, then slap on some ears and a tail and think they look like kittehs. They don't. They look like people with costume ears and tails, rather like Playboy bunnies. For me, neko is a distinct cat look, a mythical or storybook human-feline. Granted, there are some really wonderful kitty parts that are fun to wear, Atomic Kitty being one of our favorites. But they are just that, parts.
So, I camped at De La Fae Productions for an hour to get this insanely beautiful Snow Leopard ensemble - skin, shape, ears with color-change piercings, twitchy tail, color-change scripted claws, and proper hind legs. I think I freaked Milani out a bit, but this is me as cat.



Of course, Fidella the feline must wear proper neko clothes, so she sports Katat0nik's Heart Plaid Skirt, fatpack for L$25. This is a scripted skirt and you can color both the upper and inner skirts separately for an infinite combination of colors. Vest is from silent sparrow, blogged here, and blouse and jabot are part of the Porcelain Prince ensemble in The Black Canary lucky chair. Hair is an Aden group gift and comes in all colors, worn with or without separate braid.

How fun to finallly find a Midnight Mania gift that we really will wear. These great boots from Dilly Dolls were waiting for me when I logged in. Next, the lovely Takako #8 skin from Lazolli that we've seen on most of the blogs. It's really a lovely skin, and I do like the mouth and blush, although it almost verges on too young a look for me personally. Still, it's a keeper. The little chicken flapping her wings on my shoulder is a group gift from ::plod::information.

The world has ended apparently, and I missed it because I was watching the concert at the Lincoln Memorial on HBO. We only hope our stuff is there when we get back. Stuff matters!

Milani was one of the lucky girls in the Belleza group who got to choose a skin from the new Belle line as a gift. She chose Belle Tan Smokey Mocha. Fidella (me) was an idiot and left the group a couple of weeks ago to make room for other groups. So, the group has been temporarily closed, but as soon as it opens up, we all better sign up and stay put!

This is the pink and white hair from Exile everyone is wearing, but I modded it with some hair textures I have lying around to take out some of the pink and add bangs. I gotta have bangs.
The sunglasses are free from Role Optic, along with a white and blue pair.

PopFuzz has these really nice leather popsters in the basement for L$25 a pair. They come with matching color bobby sox with wrinkly cuffs, but I'm wearing the white socks I've had in my inventory forever. Oh, did I mention there are tons of colors? Cute shoes, great deal.

I finally got a snap of of Milani wearing Bebae skin while she was relaxing on our favorite stump. And her hair is one of 3 gifts from Love Soul's new 7Seas fishing pond.

I bought this hair, a CSR offering from ::69::, for L$200 ...

and I got this hair for free from the CSR event after I filled my card. Two gorgeous hairs for L$100 each. The beret is color change, and can also be modded to not show at all, and there are tons of hair colors.
